>>Hiring / interview guidance from a recruiter:

Chelsea Reyes shared these insights on LinkedIn about the interview process and guidance:

"Some things to expect in any pilot interview is to be comfortable talking about “tell me about a time” scenarios. Have some examples ready to go and practice speaking those out with another professional pilot. This is also really important when asked to explain checkride failures. I understand this is a first pilot job for a lot of applicants so it’s not always in the budget to pay for interview prep.

Another way to prepare, is being comfortable reading and understanding a plate. I am part of the technical interview and it’s clear when some applicants haven’t had to brief a plate since their instrument checkride. I suggest to ask a pilot that’s already in the field on the proper way to brief as if you’re in the air. I see too many applicants reading a plate as if it’s a page in a book.

I would compare a lot of our technical questions to some basic instrument and commercial checkride questions.

We are looking for people that are adaptable and show promises of great CRM."
